I finished this during tax season but just never had time to add the binding. It will be going to a friend's mom who is seriously ill. At least that prompted me to add the binding.
I have 2 more almost ready to quilt the tops.
Here is one I made up quickly for the young girl next door. She was so amazed someone could make a whole quilt themselves and even more stunned someone would just give her one. That's where you want your quilts to go. This was kinda pretty but even more so once I added the overall meandering. It came out really pretty.Victoriahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15750643301931691372noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5746412520880566619.post-41090985963487590012011-07-05T07:31:00.000-07:002011-07-05T07:32:47.662-07:00CARPENTER OFF FRAME<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 200px; height: 186px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjxbjodviuPxJiJmIlPGudHpPCHT7GbiBEg7si3oi7hvCwaG6o5fVcZQG0oubWrwcMeSTorDzDUiLHaKEMPYPhBUbh055stV_pQ4EpkW9Cradw-NYLIMLLP-hEVJ2m1wQOk5aP5bC-59x8/s200/carpenter+done.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5625876066563643858" />
Here's the latest to come off the frame on Friday. Carpenter Star quilted with swirl pattern. Used black Superior poly in black areas and used a teal Isacord poly thread in the batik areas. But I finally got the quilt pinned on properly and I quilted one of Jean's. I haven't tackled the pantographs yet but I think the stippling came out really nice on this one. I think I'll like this frame quilting just fine.Victoriahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15750643301931691372noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5746412520880566619.post-37451503351192012892011-06-27T06:35:00.000-07:002011-06-27T06:38:38.342-07:00FRAME ARRIVED<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 200px; height: 150px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhxCPLK477hqhFe1Tf6zHYmIw35e3-PJCoFaAbs_l5RwfHPHOKDYLiAUKI8VpqIt3yQ8MAMjYD4JqriS0kvpcXMZhS6oC-VfFR820FM6rQAMYbD-lXCWNxvoCDqX4rnbs2YV94OD5wvitE/s200/frame+ready.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5622893069555382882" />
Didn't think it was possible but we got the frame loaded in the car, taken home and son in law got it all put together.
